These terms are the agreement between you and IndianJungleLogs. By creating an account or using the site or app, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Using IndianJungleLogs

1. Who may use it

You must be 18 or older to hold an account. You agree to give accurate details when registering and to keep them current.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your password and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at indianjunglelogs@gmail.com if you believe someone else has access to it. Do not share your account or impersonate anyone.

3. Permission you give us for your content

You keep full ownership and copyright of every photograph and sighting you post — we claim none of it. To be able to show your work, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, resize and display the content you upload, purely for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform, and always with attribution to you. This licence exists only so we can lawfully display your photographs; it ends for future use when you delete the content or your account, subject to the anonymised-featured-sighting rule in our Privacy Policy.

4. Things you must not do

Upload content you do not own the rights to, or AI-generated imagery.
Post false sightings, or misrepresent where or when a photograph was taken.
Publish precise locations of sensitive or endangered wildlife.
Harass other members, or post unlawful, hateful or obscene material.
Scrape, bulk-download, or attempt to extract the sightings database.
Probe, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users' accounts.
Use the platform for unauthorised commercial promotion.

Trademark and Copyrights

1. Platform Intellectual Property

Only the core platform assets—including the Indian Jungle Logs name, logo, design, text, graphics, and underlying code—are the exclusive property of Prajwal B and Indian Jungle Logs. All other content, specifically the images uploaded by users, firmly belongs to their respective owners. We are always open to networking and collaborations, so feel free to connect and collaborate with us on Instagram too!

2. User-Generated Content

We do not claim any rights over the photos and sightings you post. You retain full ownership and copyright of your original content. We make absolutely sure that the respective owner is always given full credit for their images when displayed on the platform.

3. Copyright Infringement & AI Policy

We deeply respect the intellectual property rights of photographers and creators. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied or used on our platform without permission, please contact us immediately with proof. Furthermore, we have a strict rule against AI-generated images; this platform is for real wildlife photography only.

Punishment for Infringement: Users caught posting stolen copyrighted works or AI-generated images will be issued a warning, followed by a temporary ban from the website if the behavior continues.

Community Rules and Guidelines

To ensure Indian Jungle Logs remains a safe, respectful, and valuable resource for everyone, all users must adhere to the following community rules.

1. Protect the Wildlife First

The safety of the animals is our absolute highest priority.

No Live Tracking of Endangered Species: Do not post real-time, highly specific GPS coordinates of sensitive or endangered species (like Tigers, Leopards, Rhinos, etc.) that could be exploited by poachers. Stick to general safari zones or delay your posts if necessary.
Respect Forest Rules: Do not encourage or share content that promotes breaking forest department rules, off-roading, or harassing wildlife for a photograph.

2. Accurate and Honest Reporting

The value of this platform relies on the accuracy of its community. Do not post fake sightings, use misleading photographs from different parks, or steal photographs from other users or the internet. Give credit where credit is due.

3. Be Respectful and Kind

We are a community of nature lovers. Treat fellow members with respect.

Harassment, hate speech, bullying, or abusive language will not be tolerated.
Constructive debates about species identification are welcome; toxic arguments are not.

4. No Spam or Unauthorized Promotion

Do not use the platform to spam users, distribute malware, or heavily promote unauthorized third-party commercial services (e.g., unauthorized safari booking agencies) without prior permission. 5. Enforcement

Failure to comply with these rules may result in the immediate removal of your content, temporary suspension, or permanent banning of your account, at the sole discretion of the Indian Jungle Logs administration.

Listing Policies

We maintain strict guidelines for the types of organizations and properties that can be promoted on our platform.

1. NGO & Donation Listings

If you are a legitimate organization working for wildlife conservation in India, you can be listed on our Donations page. However, we do not accept or list short-term campaign goals, nor do we accept charges to put them up. Legitimate, long-term conservation NGOs are listed strictly based on merit.

2. Hotels, Resorts & Safari Packages

For hotels, resorts, and package providers supporting wildlife tourism, we may charge a bare minimum processing fee to get you listed. Alternatively, businesses can choose to make a voluntary donation if they are willing to.

3. How to Apply for a Listing

To request a listing for your NGO or property, please navigate to the Donations page and use the provided email templates. This ensures we get all the necessary details right away.

Safety, Accuracy and Liability

1. Wildlife and field safety

Sightings on this platform are logged by members, not verified guides. A past sighting is never a prediction — wildlife moves, and an animal recorded yesterday will very likely not be there today. Wildlife is dangerous and forests carry real risk. Always follow forest department rules, stay with authorised guides, and keep a safe distance. You enter any park at your own risk, and we accept no liability for anything that happens on a trip planned using this platform.

2. Park, safari and booking information

Booking links, safari timings, fees and accommodation details are provided for convenience and change frequently — government tariffs are revised without notice. Always confirm directly with the forest department or the official booking portal before you travel or pay. We are not a booking agent, we take no commission on safari bookings, and we are not responsible for any third-party website, payment, or refund.

3. Service provided "as is"

IndianJungleLogs is offered free of charge and as is. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that species identifications and park data will be complete or accurate. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, or any loss arising from your use of the platform or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

5. Your content, your responsibility

You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. If a claim is brought against us because of content you uploaded, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it.

6. Ending your access

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, as set out under Enforcement above. Sections covering intellectual property, liability and governing law survive the end of your account.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform grows. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and we will tell you about significant changes by email or in the app. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Your use of the platform is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
